Flint Hill Proposition B
Simple majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the city of Flint Hill, Missouri, issue its sewerage system revenue bonds in the amount of $10,000,000.00 for the purpose of extending and improving the sewerage system of the city, including acquiring land and rights of way, the cost of operation and maintenance of said sewerage system and the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable solely from the revenues derived by the city from the operation of its sewerage system, including all future improvements and extensions thereto?Summary: This measure would authorize the city to eventually borrow $10 million to extend and improve the sewer system. If passed, the revenue bonds would be paid solely from revenues paid from the operation of that system. Taxes would not increase. The sewer and wastewater system needs to make major upgrades to three wastewater lift systems and other parts of its sewage system. Proponents say these upgrades are essential and that the sewer, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure must be extended and improvedĀ as the city grows. They also say these upgrades would attract future development and provide better service to city residents.
