Hermann Area Ambulance District Question
Simple majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the Board of Directors of the Hermann Area Ambulance District be authorized to levy an additional sales tax of one-half of one percent, bringing the total sales tax to one percent (1.00%) in order to provide for continued sufficient funds to operate the district?Summary: This measure would allow the district to increase its sales tax from a half-cent to 1 cent to meet increasing costs. If passed, approximately $200,000 a year would be raised. Proponents say ambulance call volume has increased from 878 in 2020 to 1,117 in 2024 and is projected to increase further.
