Simple majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the office of city collector be changed from an elected position to an appointed position, to be appointed by the board of aldermen as authorized under section 79.050, RSMo?Summary: The measure would change the position of city collector from an elected post to one appointed by the Board of Aldermen. The job is being done by a city employee because recently no one has filed to run for the position. This change would enable the city to recruit and hire a qualified person for the position.
