Four-sevenths majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the City of Dellwood, Missouri issue its general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed six million dollars ($6,000,000) for the purpose of (1) acquiring, designing, constructing, improving, furnishing, and equipping a new public safety building, (2) acquiring, designing, constructing, improving, furnishing, and equipping a new outdoor public plaza, (3) acquiring, designing, constructing, improving, renovating, expanding, furnishing, and equipping the City's buildings and recreational facilities, including the expansion of the City's Recreational Center to include athletic fields and an event space, and (4) providing funds to pay the incidental costs of such work and of issuing bonds.Summary: The proposition would allow the city to borrow up to $6 million to build a new public safety building, an outdoor public plaza, an event center and a turf field on West Florissant Avenue near the city’s existing Dellwood Recreation Center. If passed, there would be no increase in the property tax rate but the city’s bond obligations would be extended to 2046 from 2038. The plaza would be in front of the recreation center and the event center would replace the existing pool. The turf field is planned in Dellwood City Park. Plans for the public safety building would require the purchase of additional property near Dellwood City Park.
