Robertson Fire District Proposition G
Four-sevenths majority required.Ballot wording: Shall the Robertson Fire Protection District of St. Louis County, Missouri, issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $9,600,000 for the purposes of acquiring, constructing, renovating, improving, furnishing and equipping fire stations and related facilities, including the purchase of real estate, and acquiring and equipping fire fighting vehicles, support vehicles and other lifesaving equipment, apparatus and auxiliary equipment to meet current safety standards and to carry out the objectives and purposes of the District?Summary: The measure would allow the fire district to borrow $9.6 million to replace the Station 1 firehouse that is outdated and too small. Officials also want to buy a new pumper fire truck. If passed, there would be no tax increase but the district’s debt obligation would be extended an additional 11 to 12 years. Proponents say the improvements are needed to ensure that district facilities meet current safety standards and to continue delivering high-quality emergency services.
